Kathy Wakile Is Not Sweating “Friend of A Housewife” Status on RHONJ Season 6
Bravo released an explosive drama-filled preview of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” season 6 and noticeably missing was the charming Kathy Wakile. Now that season six of the hit reality show is scheduled to premier on July 13th, star Kathy Wakile is speaking out about her new reduced role in the upcoming season.

Last season, Kathy played a prominent role as intermediary in the Gorga/Giudice family feud, matriarch of her adoring family, while pursuing a dessert line business. Kathy always remained neutral and drama-free. With the show being centered around drama, it’s no surprise Kathy’s drama-free housewife life doesn’t appeal to show producers.
Kathy’s not complaining, in fact, she’s grateful for the free time to explore other interest. Kathy spoke with E! News and opened up for the first time since the change.
“I’m so happy to be part of the Bravo family. I have enjoyed being a RHONJ Housewife and have now agreed to terms that give me the opportunity to film the show in a way which better suits my lifestyle. I’ve been able to get to know the new girls on my terms while remaining free to focus on other great things, including the expansion of my businesses.”
Kathy will dedicate her free time to growing her dessert business, Dolci Della Dea, available for purchase through her website and QVC and now offering gluten-free options.
Kathy will also spend her time writing a cookbook! Yes, the real cook of the family is releasing a dessert cookbook, Indulge, this fall. I can’t wait to get a copy.
In her interview, the ever so gracious Kathy thanked RHONJ viewers for their support:
“With everything in life, the key to growing and evolving is adapting to change and what my family and close friends tell me, that is my strong suit. The most important thing is being happy, healthy and pursuing your dreams, which I have to say is something I get to experience everyday. I am looking forward to the viewers sharing with my family and I, including my sister Rosie, in all we have been up to since last season and thank them for the continuous support.”
