In a candid discussion on April 11, Wenberg expressed gratitude towards the production team for encouraging her to openly discuss her relationship with Schwartz on camera.

“The producers … were the ones that really helped me open up,” Jo stated. She further explained the push she received from them, saying, “[They said], ‘You really need to speak about this.’ I wouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t for that. I would have kept my mouth shut.”

According to Jo, the producers observed a discrepancy in how Tom Schwartz portrayed their relationship, suggesting he minimized its seriousness. “They were seeing a different side,” to how Schwartz treated her, indicating that he presented their connection as merely platonic, contrary to what she believed was “much more than that.”

In a revealing interview on the Rachel Goes Rogue podcast, Jo Wenberg, 35, discussed the complexities of her relationship with “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Schwartz, highlighting the role of the show’s producers in bringing the truth to light. Wenberg credits the producers with recognizing the depth of their relationship before she did and pushing for transparency on the show.

“They really, really were pushing to be kind to me,” Wenberg told host Rachel Leviss. “They saw it before I did, and they didn’t have to showcase that, but they decided to be like, ‘We’re sick of this.’ I think … they were sick [of Tom’s] behavior. And they were like, ‘Let’s actually show someone who’s really blindsided.'”

Jo expressed her gratitude towards the producers for encouraging Schwartz to acknowledge their relationship beyond mere friendship. Contrary to how Schwartz portrayed their relationship on camera, Wenberg confirmed, “We would tell each other we loved each other. We would [just] be … in our own bubble, and we liked it that way. [But then], the cameras would come up, and it was like I didn’t even exist.”

During the podcast,  Jo Wenberg clarified that they were not just friends but were “dating” and “were in love,” highlighting her frustration with Tom Schwartz’s public denial of their relationship in front of his friends and the reality show cameras.

Jo Wenberg recently had the opportunity to share her perspective at the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion, which has completed filming. The reunion shed light on the true nature of her relationship with Tom Schwartz, which had been kept hidden from other cast members, leading to significant revelations.

Schwartz had managed to keep his fellow castmates unaware of the extent of his relationship with Wenberg, and many were surprised at the reunion.

“They were baffled,” Jo recounted. “It was really neat to see kind of like a gasp of like, ‘Oh, [Schwartz] not only lied to Jo, but you lied to us. And you also lied to [Executive Producer] Andy [Cohen]. You lied to everybody, and it’s very clear throughout the season that you guys were together. But we all thought that Jo was the liar when in reality, Jo was the one … being honest.’”

Currently, Jo is no longer in communication with Tom Schwartz, a move she believes is for the best. She did, however, express appreciation for an apology she received from Katie Maloney at the reunion. Meanwhile, Tom Schwartz has moved on and is reportedly dating someone new.
